Diversity in clinical trials has become more important to me since becoming a previvor. In 2022, I began the surgical process to reduce my changes of developing breast Cancer due to my high risk and BRCA genetic mutation. Following my surgeries, I became more aware of my ability to impact the narrative about science and who participates in the process to provide better outcomes form all kinds of people. Advocacy of people within all minority groups is the first step.
