To increase options and treatments we must increase the variety of trial subjects. This past year I was diagnosed with uterine cancer and during my stay in a hospital for surgery, I gained a better appreciation for the groundwork needed to produce successful medical treatments and medicines. With greater diversity in clinical trials, every beautiful one of us can potentially be represented so that we all have a better chance of survival and healing. I also believe that acknowledging our diversity along with commonality, without fail, helps grow a phenomenal larger community.
