Several of my family/friends have had trouble finding accurate resources, information, and even diagnoses on their afflictions because of a lack of representation in clinical trials and research. As such, I care deeply about diversity. Though ones experiences and problems may be specific to oneself or a minority people group, they are very real and valid and deserve attention nonetheless. I painted this piece partially as a celebration of the uniqueness in a persons perception and experience of the world.
